The University of Santiago de Chile formally entered SIRGAS (Sistema de Referencia Geodésico para las Américas) in 2016 as a data center, installing the USCL GNSS station (which today is about to become the IGS network station).

We are pleased to announce that the IGS has just released the new RINEX 3.05 format after several review cycles.

As was announced recently via IGSmail, the IGS Central Bureau has undertaken a substantial upgrade to our IGS Central Bureau Information System, which includes the IGS website and file transfer capabilities.
From 1 December 2020, all incoming RINEX v.2 files received by IGS global data centres will be decompressed and published using the gzip compression algorithm.
