April 2019

IGS First Strategic Planning Discussion happens during the European Geophysical Union Meeting in Vienna, Austria with an open Associate Member meeting.





May 2020

The IGS Governing Board approves the process that initiates the 2021 Strategic Planning.

July 2020

The IGS Central Bureau and Executive Committee designs and opens the Strategic Planning Survey to the community





December 2020

The Governing Board meets to evaluate the results of the Strategic Planning Survey and determines the IGS goals and objectives that will shape the organization for the next 5-10 years.

April 2021

The first draft of the Strategic Planning Document is presented to the IGS Governing Board and Associate Members for consideration and approval.


