RTS Formats
The primary standard for the dissemination of the IGS real-time service products is the IGS SSR standard. The first version of this standard was released in October 2020 and includes correction messages for multi-GNSS orbits, clocks, code and phase biases, quality indicators as well as global ionospheric delays. The latest version of the standard is available on the IGS website under IGS Format and Standards. Extensions to also cover satellite attitude, phase center offsets and variations and group delay variations are planned in the near future. Enhanced ionospheric correction messages will then follow. The goal is to create a self-contained and scalable standard for a wide range of real-time applications in the IGS and beyond.
The IGS Real-Time Service products are disseminated in the IGS SSR format. Freely available open-source software packages, which support IGS SSR, are the BKG Ntrip Client (BNC) and the Real-Time Kinematic Library (RTKLIB). The IGS SSR messages are encoded as sub-message into the IGS proprietary message 4076. A list of all sub-message types defined in IGS SSR v1.0 for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou can be found in the table below.
