Montenbruck, O., & Steigenberger, P. (2022). BRD400DLR: DLR’s merged multi-GNSS broadcast ephemeris product in RINEX 4.00 format [Data set]. DLR/GSOC. https://doi.org/10.57677/BRD400DLR

Overview

The German Space Operations Center (GSOC) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) is providing a merged multi-GNSS broadcast ephemeris product covering GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, IRNSS and SBAS as contribution to the IGS multi-GNSS pilot project (MGEX). The prefix of the product is BRD400DLR and it is given in the RINEX 4.00 format supporting new features of modernized navigation signals:
  • GPS: CNAV and CNAV-2
  • BeiDou: CNAV-1, CNAV-2, CNAV-3
  • QZSS:  CNAV and CNAV-2
The RINEX 4 format description is available at https://files.igs.org/pub/data/format/rinex_4.00.pdf. BRD400DLR is based on data of altogether 37 stations providing different types of data:
  • Receiver-generated RINEX 3 navigation files
  • RINEX 4 navigation files generated from real-time streams of decoded navigation data
  • RINEX 4 navigation files generated from real-time streams of raw navigation frames
  • RINEX 4 navigation files generated from post-processed raw navigation frames

Availability

Daily BRD400DLR product files are available starting with day of year 1/2022 at the following IGS data centers:

BRDM00DLR: DLR’s merged multi-GNSS broadcast ephemeris product

As contribution to the IGS multi-GNSS pilot project (MGEX), the German Space Operations Center (GSOC) of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) provides a merged GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, IRNSS, and SBAS broadcast ephemeris product called BRDM00DLR. Input data are obtained from altogether 37 globally distributed stations of the IGS and CONGO networks. The input data are the same as for the BRD400DLR product but only the information supported by the RINEX 3 format is included in the BRDM00DLR product.
